Sofia Safonte

Thank you for visiting my website! I hope to showcase my various projects and achievements as a student majoring in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Music at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Throughout my time studying at Marist, I have had experience in writing mock pitches, creating feature articles, press releases, and working on IMC, marketing, and PR campaigns.
I am currently taking this knowledge with me into my 2024 spring internship at Stuntman PR where I have been immersing myself in the world of Public Relations and communications. I have had the opportunity to build media lists which have garnered successful coverage, work on pitches, and more. This internship has allowed me to grow in this field and has furthered my passion for PR. 
Through my extracurriculars I have had the pleasure of being a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority as well Marist Singers. These experiences have given me the opportunities to join their PR committees as well as help with event planning.
Furthermore, my ongoing achievements as a Dean's List student, as well as being a recipient of the Presidential and Fusco Music scholarships, highlight my dedication and academic excellence.
Additionally, I spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy, in the fall of 2022 which allowed me to travel to 7 different countries in Europe and gain an expansion of cultural awareness.
